Inspired by the brilliance of the ninth century Andalucian (Cordoba, Spain) musician and creative soul, Zaryab Art Labs is an innovation/experimentation space dedicated to exploring the intersection of art and digital technology. Its aim is to create positive social impact through immersive experiences.
Through a range of initiatives dealing with artistic immersive experiences that help heal trauma or foster post-conflict dialogue; Zaryab Art Labs will play a leading role in redefining the creative process beyond a solitary endeavor and as a collaborative effort to bring positive social impact and to foster empathy and dialogue.
Located at the historic building of American Musicians Federation at 175 W Washington in downtown Chicago, our site has hosted
brilliant historic figures such as James Petrillo, Nat king Cole, Count Basie, FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt.
The 4 floor, 23K SF facility has room for art exhibitions and expos, a music hall, a screening room, a digital brainstorming space to create immersive experiences and a co-working space for creatives.
We are also looking into creating artist residences.
There are about forty thousand university students residing in downtown Chicago and Zaryab Art Labs will likely have a strategic relationship with the department of Art & Technology of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
